A FALLEN ANGEL…A FORBIDDEN LOVE

Falling for the fallen…

For Nora Grey, romance was never part of the plan. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgement.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora isn’t sure if she can trust him. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and know more about her than her closest friends. And when she tries to seek answers, she discovers she is right in the middle of a centuries-old battle between the immortal and the fallen…and it’s time to take sides.

My thoughts

When I first bought this book, I was mainly attracted to the cover. The story sounded interesting enough and I love myself some angel novels so I gave it a shot! First impression: creepy!

It was a sort of dark supernatural story, and Nora, the main character, was constantly afraid, and for good reason might I add. I was never sure if Patch was the good guy or the baddie. It made him hard to like, if I’m honest. The setting also gave me a sense of deja vu, and all you Twilight fans will know what I mean when I say biology class. Yep, it was pretty similar for me.

I’ve heard that this was the kind of book that you either love or hate, and except for the extremely funny quips from Vee, Nora’s best friend, I found myself getting pretty bored with the story. The plot was lacking the “je ne sais quoi” and except for a few potential interesting facts, there was not much to go on.

I stopped reading the series after the second installment, which I have to say annoyed the hell out of me. Becca Fitzpatrick ruined my favorite character out of the whole series! Well anyways, as I said, you might completely disagree with my point of view, or maybe even think worse of it, but yeah, I’m sure I won’t be reading any other books coming from this author.

Rating: ★★ – 3 stars!
